Claudia's last known movements
Claudia purchased and moved into 46 Heworth Road in November 2007. A 2 bed mid-terraced house with a bedroom located at the front of the property and the spare room at the rear. The bathroom was located downstairs at the back of the property. The gardens of Heworth Road back onto Heworth Place separated by a walkway/alley - identified below.
On the afternoon of the 18th March, Claudia was last seen heading back from the East Parade/Melrose Gate junction towards her house by a local child minder to whom she engaged in brief conversation with. The reason for her walking is her car had been in the garage over the previous weeks to have work undertaken.
No evidence has been publicly provided to confirm her location from this point onwards despite a number of telephone and text communications later that evening as detailed on our timeline page.
Claudia finishes work
Claudia is picked up on the Goodricke College (Heslington Campus) CCTV leaving work and heading home at 2.31pm - a journey that would take around 45 minutes.
Posting a letter on her way home
Claudia is next seen outside Melrosegate post office at 2.47pm posting a letter at a post box and then continuing her journey. In the CCTV she merely approaches, posts something and continues her journey. Cars and bikes pass her on the road and a white van is parked in the layby outside the post office.
