A Personal Statement

We have created Claudialawrence Files because Claudia's disappearance deserves to remain visible and we believe there is still value in examining what is known to-date.

Violence against women continues to affect women and girls across the UK and it is something we can not sit by and watch. A woman is killed by a man roughly every 3 days. Missing People has also highlighted the scale of women and girls who go missing as a consequence of, or in connection with abuse and violence. Stalkign affects approx 1 in 5 women during their lifetime.

The figures are not simply statistics. Behind every number is a person, family and life changed forever.

Claudia has been missing for 17 years, she should not become a forgotten name, statistic or old news story.

She was a daughter, sister a friend and someone who mattered.

Claudia has not been forgotten.

This project is independently maintained and self-funded. It is not a charity and does not accept donations.
